Walk on the Wildside (animal experience session)
Are you passionate about wildlife? Would you like to get up close and personal with exotic animals? Would you like to find out more about the animals here at the Zoo? Then the Exmoor Zoo Walk on the Wild Side experience can make this a reality!
The Walk on the Wild Side experience gives you an exclusive guided tour with one of the Zoo Education Staff, who will introduce you to a range of the Zoo inhabitants and ensure that you experience them in a very special way. The walk lasts from 2 to 3 hours and can take place on any day of the week except Sunday, however only one walk can take place on any one day. Dates are allocated on a first come basis. Animals encountered vary depending upon season and animal health and welfare, but may include reindeer, armadillos, lemurs, tapir, skunks and cheetah.
The price includes your entry into the zoo and a photographic record which will be sent to you on CD after your walk.
Walkers will need to wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear and are welcome to bring their own camera equipment. The Zoo will need to be informed in advance if a member of your party has any special needs. Please phone to discuss your arrangements.
To maintain the intimate nature of the experience, numbers are strictly limited.
The prices are:
Single - £85 * Couple - £100 * Additional person £40 * Family (up to 5) - £200 (maximum of 5 people)
To walk alone, participants must be aged 16 years or over. A responsible adult must accompany participants under the age of 16; this will be charged for as a couple (£100). Adults accompanying minors are fully responsible for supervision of the young person for the duration of the experience. Due to the nature of the experience this is not available to children under the age of 3.
